BANK HOLIDAY PLANNING - REPEAT MEDICATION
Please order your repeat prescriptions in plenty of time for the summer break..
We are closed on Monday 26th August 2019.
A full list of pharmacies open in each county can be found on the NHS England South Pharmacy page https://www.england.nhs.uk/south-east/our-work/pharmacy-opening-hours/
The service is available for GP and Nurse appointments at evenings and weekends - see appointment section.
We run a comprehensive range of services and clinics at our practice. All these services can be accessed in normal nurse/ consultation sessions for your convenience.
Our nurses are trained in diabetic care and will provide you with a care plan.
Asthma & COPD
Advice and support from our nurses as well as routine checks.
Nurse led sessions to assist in Smoking Cessation. All our nurses are qualified in this area.
Child Health and Immunisation
All children are invited for routine vaccinations with our nurses. Our GPs carry out routine developmental checks.
The Practice is able to offer travel injections & advice ONLY on the following: Hepatitis A, Typhoid & Tetanus/polio/diphtheria.
For all other vaccinations please attend a local travel clinic.
If you require any of the above vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to complete a travel questionnaire which will be reviewed by our Practice Nurse and a plan made for any required vaccinations and further travel health advice. You will need to complete the form & give to reception at least four weeks prior to an appointment booking for the Practice Nurse to review your medical records.
You can also carry out a self-assessment for travel to help identify if you require any vaccinations - www.fitfortravel.nhs.uk
There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below:
It is important to complete your questionnaire as early as possible - at least 6 weeks before you travel - as an appointment will be required with the practice nurse to actually receive the vaccinations. These vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine. Your appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.
Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.
Travel Health Questionnaire
To help us offer the appropriate advice, please fill out the online form before coming to see the nurse.
Travelling in Europe
If you are travelling to Europe a very useful booklet has been published with advice and guidance to help you get the most out of your holiday. To visit please click:- http://ec.europa.eu/publications/booklets/eu_glance/86/en.pdf (this is a large document and may take a minute or two to view)
Some services provided are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges. Examples include the following:
The fees charged are based on the British Medical Association (BMA) suggested scales and our reception staff will be happy to advise you about them along with appointment availability.
Enter all or part of your postcode in the box below and click one of the buttons
